From about 4,000' elevation to 10,000' and back down again. I made it into Burns, Oregon and am at the Days Inn tonight enjoying a speedy wireless connect.
Bad news: the high-beam switch busted so I drive with my brights on.
Good news: 1. It happened about 10 minutes outside of Burns so I didn't bug too many people (only got blinked once). 2. There's a Ford Dealer in town with a service center to get it fixed under warranty tomorrow and 3. Along with the power window needing fixing these are the only issues I've had with this car. None mechanical. It's running like a top. And it should be an easy repair. I could probably take it apart and fix it myself in a bind. I could feel something slip, it probably doesn't even need a part.
That I survived the road! Good thing I have practice on these kind of roads and am well versed in the ground clearance of the focus. I never even bottomed out.

No shit.
