Today I stayed off the main highways and took secondary roads through the Ozarks, eventually ending up at Fayetteville, AR. The hike in to Pedestal Rocks wasn't very long or challenging but the heat had me thoroughly soaked in sweat by the time I was done with the 2.5 mile hike. Finding a hotel with laundry was in order, the Motel 6 guide pointed me to Fayetteville.
