on schedule: Departed 6:30 AM from Villa Park, Illinois. Arrived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at 6:00PM. I hit Jiffy Lube yesterday so I should be good until Tennessee or so. No tickets, no car troubles, no accidents.
Just when one contemplates the high price of gasoline the toll roads sneak up on you. Indiana and Ohio. Couldn't really experience much of it due to the Turnpike system. So I drove right through. Boring. No photos. Rest areas are not photogenic.
There are a lot of farms still around the midwest which is somewhat refreshing. I'm somewhat nostalgic for red barns and hay silos.
